Diljit Dosanjh: These days, Diljit Dosanjh is busy performing concerts in different cities of the country. Till now he has done concerts in many cities and many more are yet to be done. Singer’s ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’ is also getting immense love from the people. However, this concert of his has also been surrounded by controversies.
Amidst all this, amid Bajrang Dal’s protest demanding cancellation of the music concert in Indore, Diljit Dosanjh dedicated his concert to Indore resident Urdu poet Rahat Indori. During this, he also took a jibe at Bajrang Dal through gestures.
Diljit Dosanjh taunts Bajrang Dal with gestures
In fact, in response to Bajrang Dal’s protest, the Punjabi star mentioned Indori’s most famous ghazal “Kisi Ke Baap Ka Hindustan Thodi Hai” in his Dil-Luminati Tour concert on Sunday. Ghazal says: “If you are against it, let it happen, there is little life. This is all a prayer, the sky is small. Everyone’s blood is included in the soil here/ India is a little of someone’s father, India is not someone’s property.”
Why did Bajrang Dal protest against Diljit Dosanjh’s concert?
On Sunday, Bajrang Dal had approached Indore Police to not allow Diljit Dosanjh’s music concert to go ahead. Bajrang Dal leader Avinash Kaushal said, “Diljit has made anti-national remarks many times during the farmers’ protest. He is also a supporter of Khalistan. We will not allow such a person to organize a program in Mother Ahilya’s city. We have given an application to the administration demanding cancellation of the show. If the event is still organised, we will protest in our own way.”
In Indore, Bajrang Dal leader Tannu Sharma told The Indian Express, “Our protest was against drug abuse. We are not against this concert. It is not in our culture to consume drugs at these functions; We are against that. We are also against the consumption of alcohol and there were such stalls in this concert as well.”
What did Diljit say about tickets sold in black?,
Dosanjh did not mention Bajrang Dal during his music concert. But he addressed allegations that his concert tickets were sold in black and asked people how they were responsible for it. Diljit said, “For a long time, people in this country have been saying that Diljit (concert) tickets are sold in black. It is not my fault that tickets are being sold in black. What is the fault of an artist that a ticket of Rs 10 is sold for Rs 100?”
